  A total mess. If you check in online you still have to check in AGAIN in the airport. Even my ticket states that I can just proceed straight to security/immigration but no no, the woman says: "in lao have to check in two time". Total mess 🙈

  Small airport under expansion and renovation, just 20min from the city center. Is still very limited in space and retail shops availability, some flights don’t even appear despite flying in 2-3 hours, but queues are quick if you come early and at least there’s is free wifi!

  A short drive from town centre brings one to this airport which is small. Check in and customs very efficient. Very clean bathrooms. Small central area for seating which serves three gates. A few food stalls, one duty free and one souvenir shop. Clear announcements.

  Compared to last year, the international arrivals area has improved a lot - there are more counters, better facilities and lighting, etc. It can get quite congested in the evening though with many flights from Incheon and Bangkok. The airport lounge could also use a makeover - the food is mostly stale and options are limited. It's undergoing renovation and expansion so I'm expecting it to be better and more organized in the near future. A new public bus service has just started too, improving accessibility and providing a cheaper option to go to the city.

  For arrivals this is a great airport. Clean toilets. Easy to navigate. Fast visa purchase, immigration and customs. The easiest taxi pay and transfer ever. Very small arrival hall with no frogs options.
